Indie cult classic “Papers, Please” is getting a film adaptation

Back on May 29th, “Papers, Please” developer Lucas Pope (@dukope) shared some stills from an upcoming short film adaptation of the beloved indie game. Check out the pictures below, taken from Pope’s tweet:

“Papers, Please” is a small independently developed bureaucracy simulator where you play an officer who works at the border patrol of a fictional country by the name of Arstotzka. The game currently has a 10/10 rating on Steam from over 15,000 reviews indicating an Overwhelmingly Positive response. You can pick it up for $9.99 on Microsoft Windows, iOS, Linux, and the PlayStation Vita.

The short film will be produced by Nikita and Liliya Ordynskiy and it is currently unknown when it will release.
